Website Maintenance Cost in Ireland: What to Expect

A website keeps running on software that needs updates, backups and the occasional repair. This guide explains what maintenance usually covers, why published prices in Ireland vary so much, and how to judge a care plan by more than its monthly fee.

What a care plan covers

Updates

The platform, themes, plugins and integrations kept current, with changes tested before they go live.

Backups

Regular copies stored away from the live site, with restoring them part of the service.

Security

Vulnerabilities watched, fixes applied and access accounts reviewed.

Uptime and speed

The site monitored and checked against Core Web Vitals.

Small changes

Text, image and price changes, and fixes when something breaks.

Why published prices disagree

Maintenance guides quote very different monthly figures because plans include very different things. One plan covers updates only. Another adds backups, monitoring and an hour of changes. A third promises a response time.

A low price is not a bad sign on its own. A price that does not say what it covers is.

Response times and included hours

Ask two questions before you sign. How quickly will someone look at a problem, and how much work is included each month? The answers matter more than the headline fee, because a site that is down on a Friday evening needs a person, not a ticket number.

€350+/mo

for zemix care, with the inclusions set out in writing, a plain monthly report and quick help when something needs fixing.

Why an unmaintained site becomes a risk

A website is software, and software ages. Updates close security holes, so a site that skips them becomes easier to break into every month. Backups matter the day something goes wrong, and by then it is too late to start taking them.

Speed slips too. Images pile up, scripts are added and nobody checks, until visitors and search engines notice before you do.

How zemix care is structured

zemix care is €350+/mo. It covers updates, backups kept off the server, security checks and monitoring, small changes, and a short monthly report in plain English: what we did, what we found and what we recommend.

We work only through the accounts and permissions named in your agreement. You can see that access at any time and switch it off yourself.

Taken together with a new website, a Plant & Care bundle saves €150 on the site. It needs 12 months of care, billed monthly.
